41st Bead Affaire (Saturday 10/19)

Local bead society presents over 40 vendors selling beads, beaded jewelry and supplies. Demos throughout the day.

The 41st Bead Affaire will be held Saturday, October 19 (10 AM - 5 PM) at the Armenian Cultural Center, 47 Nichols Ave, Watertown, MA. Sponsored by Beadesigner International, the New England Bead Society, the Bead Affaire includes over forty exhibitors from around the country offering an amazing range of beads, beaded jewelry and supplies. The show will feature demonstrations and raffles throughout the day.

In addition to handcrafted beads and beaded jewelry, there will be strands of beads from all over the world - materials include glass, vintage, polymer clay, bakelite, Lucite, seed, pearl, gemstone, metal and felt. The show will also include finished jewelry including unique art glass pendants, necklaces, bracelets and earrings in addition to findings, chain, leather cord and accessories and more.

In addition to nationally recognized bead artists and vendors, the Women's Craft Cooperative at Rosie's Place will be showing and selling their work.

Beadesigner International (BDI) is a non-profit organization focused on the study and exchange of ideas and knowledge related to beads, beaded jewelry and beading techniques. Funds raised by the show are used to support the ongoing activities of the non-profit bead society including monthly meetings featuring hands on activities and lectures by local and national artists.
