My name is Caroline Colarusso Republican running for Congress in the 5th District of Massachusetts against Katherine Clark. As we approach the days leading up to the most important election in decades, I would like to remind you of the stark differences between Congresswoman Clark and myself. Here is an important one:

Congresswoman Clark uses verbiage like “reimagining police” which is code for defunding police. Congresswoman Clark has also sponsored a bill to remove qualified immunity from police officers despite her having qualified immunity as a member of Congress. Congresswoman Clark refused to call out the rioting and violence we experienced over the summer. I support sensible police reforms like banning choke holds, swift disciplinary actions, more training, and requiring intervention during escalations. Risking your personal property including your home for split second decisions made on the job will cause senior officers to retire, discourage new recruits and diminish the already depleted list of future applicants. All this will inhibit public safety. I will not support defunding police or removing qualified immunity for police officers. I am committed to maintaining safe communities for all, police play an important role in this.
In addition to Clarks position on police Congresswoman Clark announced in September that she is running for Asst. Speaker of the House under Nancy Pelosi. That election takes place after November 3rd. Congresswoman Clark knew she had an opponent in this current race when she announced that she was running for Assistant Speaker. Congresswoman Clark has arrogantly moved beyond this race before your ballots have been counted. That cheapens your vote. Congresswoman Clark takes you for granted. Send her a message on election day.
I ask you to look at the voting record of Congresswoman Clark. It can easily be found on Congress.gov. Examine the facts and positions before casting your vote. Pointing out your opponent’s voting record is not negative campaigning, it’s truthful necessary campaigning.
