Former Boston Drummer Sib Hashian Dies on Rock Cruise: ICYMI
Hashian, 67, was on percussion for the band's self-titled debut album, which included the hit "More Than a Feeling."
BOSTON, MA β Former Boston drummer Sib Hashian died Wednesday night while performing on a rock cruise, TMZ reports. According to the website, Hashian collapsed onstage on the Legends of Rock Cruise and could not be revived. He was 67.
Hashian's son, Adam, confirmed his death to TMZ. The Legends of Rock Cruise departed from Florida on March 18 and had stops in Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.
The Lynnfield resident played drums on Boston's multi-platinum debut album, which included the smash hit "More Than a Feeling." The album was recorded at Foxglove Studios in Watertown.

Hashian left the band in the early 1980s and stayed largely out of the spotlight, occasionally returning to perform with his former bandmates around Boston.
His daughter, Lauren, has been in a relationship with actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson since 2007.
