Groundbreaking for New Assisted Living Center Wednesday
On the site of the former New England Fuel Institute.
The Residence at Watertown Square will officially break ground at 20 Summer St. at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25.
The theme of the event will be “Watertown Strong," a celebration of the town and its character.
Developers Weston Associates built the new assisted living complex on the site of the former New England Fuel Institute at the intersection of Summer and Spring streets, building an L-shaped, five-story building.

The new building would have 90 one-bedroom and studio units, street-level retail space and 48 below level parking spots.
