Jazz @ The Arsenal TONIGHT!

Jazz @ The Arsenal returns tonight with Gabrielle Goodman

JMT/Verve recording artist Gabrielle Goodman brings her sultry voice, delicate phrasing and adventurous vocal improvisations to the Arsenal Center in a concert of jazz favorites and songs from her new gospel-inflected CD Spiritual Tapestry. She’ll be joined by Yoron Israel (drums), Ron Reid (bass), Jiri Nedoma (piano) and special guest John Baboian (guitar), director of the Jazz @ the Arsenal series. With a voice like an angel, Gabrielle Goodman promises to stir your soul and set your spirit on fire!

Goodman’s diverse musical talent has afforded her the opportunity to work with artists of legendary status and tour the world performing in China, Russia, Japan, Europe and throughout the U.S. Known for a variety of music: jazz, pop, R&B, soul and Brazilian, she has performed and/or recorded with Roberta Flack, Chaka Khan, Kevin Eubanks, Quincy Jones, Patti Labelle, Nancy Wilson, Armsted Christian, Terri Lyne Carrington, Walter Beasley and many others.

Among Goodman’s many talents, she is a composer, arranger and educator, serving full time on the Berklee College of Music faculty. She’s been featured with the Boston Pops, Baltimore Symphony and Tokyo’s Yamayuri Symphony Orchestra performing classical, jazz and gospel music.
