Landyce Kaprielian, Longtime Watertown Resident, Former State Social Worker

Landyce (Torrance) Kaprielian of Watertown, originally from Milledgeville, Ga., died on Dec. 12.

She was the wife of Robert Kaprielian for 53 years; mother of Rachel Kaprielian and Myra Ovoian and her husband Bill; grandmother of Will, Calvin and Drew Landyn; sister of Harold Torrance and the late Edward Torrance; sister-in-law of Ilse Kaprielian. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, according to an obituary on the Bedrosian Funeral Home website.

She retired as as social worker at Massachusetts Department of Social Services. 

Funeral service will be at Saint James Armenian Church, 465 Mount Auburn St. in Watertown, on Monday, Dec. 16 at 11 a.m.

Visiting hours will be at the Aram Bedrosian Funeral Home, 558 Mount Auburn St. in Watertown, on Sunday, Dec. 15 from 4-8 p.m. Interment service at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge is private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Massachusetts Department of Children and Families Fund (Kids Fund).
