Moment of Silence Happening Today in Watertown, Beyond
A moment of silence will happen at 2:50 p.m. today to honor the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings, one week ago.

Today marks the one-week anniversary of the April 15 and to honor the victims, residents across the state and nation are being asked to take part in a moment of silence.
After the moment of silence, bells throughout Boston and the state will ring, according to a statement from Boston Mayor Tom Meninoβs office.

In Watertown, Perkins School for the Blind will hold a moment of silence at 2:50 p.m., followed by a ringing of its bell four times to honor the four people killed in the bombings and ensuing events, according to school officials.
On Friday, Watertown was the site of a massisve manhunt for the second bombing suspect who fled from police. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was later found hiding in a boat in Watertown and was taken into custody by police.
