Office Spreads Word of Watertown Lockdown Via Robocall
Athena Health workers were told Friday at 5:30 a.m. not to come to work.

Though the news arrived in a 5:30 a.m. phone call, the nearly 1,000 workers at Watertown's Athena Health were likely happy hear that they didn't have to travel into work amidst a lockdown and manhunt last Friday.
An article in the Boston Busines Journal notes the electronic health records company put its emergency plan into place when news surfaced of last Friday's shootout with police and subsequent manhunt in Watertown for a Boston Marathon bombing suspect.
The majority of the 980 employees at the Watertown office were told around 5:30 a.m. via a "NotiFind" automatic call not to come to the 311 Arsenal St. office and instead work from home.Β

The call was received by all but two employees who already had left for work, and who worked safely at the Athena office until around 3 p.m., the article said.Β
