Pepe's Pizza Opens New Location In Watertown

Pepe's Pizza moved into Watertown's Arsenal Yards.

WATERTOWN, MA β€” Pepe's Pizza has found a home in Watertown. Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana opened its doors in Watertown's Arsenal Yards this month, making it the 12th location for the chain in the state.

The 3,700-square-foot restaurant is a part of Arsenal Yards, the brand-new urban village in Watertown’s historic East End. Frank Pepe Pizzeria at Arsenal Yards is located at 24 Eldridge Avenue.

The coal-fire pizza is best-known for its New Haven-style pizza using founder Frank Pepe’s original recipe. The Watertown restaurant, like all Pepe’s locations, will feature a brick-by-brick duplicate of the original coal-fired pizza oven in New Haven, including iron castings from the original mold.

β€œFrom the moment we arrived in the Boston area back in 2015, the community has been incredibly supportive of Pepe’s,” said Ken Berry, CEO of Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana. β€œThat’s why we’re so thrilled to be opening our third Massachusetts location. We can’t wait to share our pizza with Watertown and its surrounding communities, and for us to have an opportunity to serve our customers in a location as fantastic as Arsenal Yards is very exciting.”

The new 92-seat restaurant will feature an open layout – complete with a view of its stunning 14’ x 14’ brick oven – and dΓ©cor inspired by the look and feel of the original Pepe’s location in New Haven. Watertown diners can expect to feel the same comfort, familiarity, and tradition that people have been experiencing for years at every Pepe’s location.

β€œIn every pizza we make, we proudly honor the history and tradition that started way back in 1925 with Frank Pepe himself,” Berry said. β€œUsing his original recipe and a brick-by-brick replica of the original pizza oven, we carry forward Frank Pepe’s philosophy of simplicity, topping our pizzas with only the freshest ingredients to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience.”
