Watertown Little League opening day was held on Saturday, April 27, after it was postponed from the weekend before due to the Boston Marathon tragedy and chaos of the Watertown manhunt for the bombing suspects.

The day started with a parade of players and coaches at 8:30 a.m., ending at Casey Field for a ceremony at 9 a.m. The program's new Challenger League, for special needs children, was also introduced. 

Teams then took to the fields for a day of games.
