WATERTOWN, MA – The Raider Tavern in Watertown is closed – that much is certain. The Waverley Avenue eatery was rumored to be permanently shuttered after it bid adieu on Twitter in June, and a quick Google search confirms it is no longer in business. But what's next for 208 Waverley Avenue?
A source told Boston Restaurant Talk an alum of Ritcey's Sea Food in Waltham was involved in the Raider Tavern's replacement. The site dug up documents indicating that Michaela Ritcey – who worked at Ritcey's as a teen – is involved in the upcoming project, an "upscale street food spot."
The Raider Tavern first opened in 2014 in the former Orchard Park Grill spot at 208 Waverley Avenue.
