Watertown Declares Snow Emergency

A snow emergency will go into effect this weekend as the town is expected to get 8-10 inches of snow.

WATERTOWN, MA – The town has declared a snow emergency to start at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19. Watertown is expecting 8-10 inches of snow with potential for mixes of snow, rain and sleet and potential for a flash freeze, the town said in a statement.

The snow emergency will remain in effect until further notice. On-street parking will be banned and any motor vehicle left on the street will be subject to towing.

The DPW requests that every resident assist in clearing of fire hydrants and catch basins in your area. Also, clearing of the sidewalk in front of your property would benefit all.
