Watertown Declares Snow Emergency, School Canceled
Watertown schools were closed to both in-person and remote learning.
WATERTOWN, MA β Watertown declared a snow emergency on Wednesday night before the town was covered in the first major snowfall of the season.
Under the snow emergency on-street parking is banned. The Superintendent of the DPW will announce when the ban is over, but snow is expected to continue coming down through at least 4 p.m. on Thursday. Watertown could see anywhere between four and 10 inches.
Residents are reminded to clear hydrants in their neighborhood and not to put trash out for pickup to keep the streets clear for plows to pass through. Trash pickup will be delayed one day this week as a result.
