Watertown Field Hockey's Historic Unbeaten Streak Ends
The Raiders hold the national record for most consecutive games without a loss.
WATERTOWN, MA β A historic unbeaten streak ended Monday for Watertown field hockey, as the Raiders fell to Winchester 3-0. Watertown holds the national record for most consecutive wins with 124 (not to mention an unbeaten streak of 184) and went nearly nine years without a loss.
The Raiders opened the season on Friday with a commanding 5-0 win over Reading, on the heels of last year's eighth straight state title. Watertown beat Oakmont for the fourth time in that stretch with a game-winning goal in the final minutes of the second half, edging out the Spartans 4-3 and extending their streak another season.
