Watertown Fire Log: Suspicious Packages, Dumpster Fire
The following information was provided by the Watertown Fire Dept., and includes items from April 22 to 27.

April 22
A rollover car accident was reported at 4:09 p.m. on Fayette Street at Church Street. The driver, a woman, complained of slight rib pain and was taken by ambulance to Mt. Auburn Hospital. A second person involved in the accident had neck and arm pain and was also taken to Mt. Auburn Hospital.

A suspicious package was reported on Belmont Street at 12:28 p.m. A trash bag with undetonated fireworks was found in a clothing donation bin. An employee unloading the bin noticed the bag. The area was bloacked off and state police and the FBI were called in. See related story and the connection to the Marathon bombing suspects.
A suspicious package was also reported on Common Street at Middlesex Road. Firefighters blocked off the area and the state police bomb squad was called. The area was deemed safe. See related story.

A car accident with injuries was reported at 6:52 p.m. Two people were taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth's Hospital with injuries. One person declined to go to the hospital.
April 26
A car accident with injuries was reported at 7:19 a.m. on Arsenal Street. One person was taken to Mt. Auburn Hospital.
A stabbing was reported at 9:10 p.m. on School Street. A woman had a one-inch wound in her shoulder and neck area. She was taken to Beth Israel Hospital.Β
April 27
A Pleasant Street resident reported a carbon monoxide alarm sounding. The noise was actually her cell phone.
A Dumpster fire was reported on Galen Street at 9:09 p.m., behind Farina Cycle. Firefighters cut a lock on a gate to access the area. The fire was put out and firefighters checked the building for extension of the fire, finding none.
