Watertown Police Log: Man Uses Knife as Threat, Cell Phone Stolen from Store

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

Jan. 9, 11:09 p.m.: Police arrested Ronald William Chabot Jr., 47, of 23 King St. in Watertown,Β on charges of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon - a knife, domestic assault and battery and malicious destruction of property for stabbing a love seat.

Jan. 10, 11:26 a.m.: Police observed a car run a stop sign and when the officer pulled over the driver it was discovered he had a suspended license. Effie J. Diamantopoulos, 24, of 54 Robert Ford Road Apt. C in Watertown,Β was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license and violating a stop sign.

Jan. 11, 9:45 a.m.: An officer patrolling on Green and Chestnut streets observed a person pacing back and forth. The officer discovered he had three warrants. Christopher Gropper, 50, of 33 Green St. in Watertown, was arrested on three warrants: one from Somerville District Court forΒ burning personal property, one from Cambridge District Court for burning personal property and a secondΒ from Cambridge District Court for malicious destruction of property over $250.

Jan. 11, 4:41 p.m.: Police arrested Kamel Lamtougui, 40, of 60 Hovey St. Apt. 2 in Watertown, for domestic assault and battery.

Incidents

Jan. 6, 8:27 a.m.: A deposit made at Toyota of Watertown on Dec. 29 was discovered missing and reported to policeΒ on Jan. 6.

Jan. 7, 3:05 p.m.: A man came into the AT&T Store on Mt. Auburn Street, grabbed a cell phone and ripped it off the security tether and ran out of the store. The suspect is described as a white male, in his 20s, 5-foot-8, medium build, wearing a black windbreaker, and a black skull cap.Β The phone is worth $479.
