Watertown Police Sergeant Who Took Down Marathon Bomber Retires

Not long after the Tsarnaev brothers sped into Watertown, Sgt. Jeff Pugliese found himself face-to-face with Tamerlan.

WATERTOWN, MA β€” Watertown Police Sergeant Jeff Pugliese loves his job today as much as he did when he joined the force 41 years ago.

β€œI look forward to going to work,” he told WBZ-TV. β€œIt’s exciting and you get to help a lot of people…It’s incredible.”

He calls policing β€œthe finest profession in the world to have”.
