
WATERTOWN, MA β The Watertown Department of Public Works has declared a snow emergency, which will go into effect at midnight tonight and remain active until further notice. An on-street parking ban will be enacted during that time.
Watertown is expecting 8-16 inches of snow Thursday. Any motor vehicle left on the street will be subject to towing, according to the town.
Throwing or plowing snow on the street or public sidewalk is an ordinance violation and subject to a fine.

Trash and Recycling collection will take place as scheduled. Residents are asked to place toters out Wednesday evening to ensure crews are able to collect in the morning. If the crews are unable to collect the entire route on Thursday, the collection will be completed on Friday.
