Watertown Vegan Cafe Closes

After announcing its closure late last week, the Elm Street eatery shuttered Sunday.

WATERTOWN, MA – Wild Rice Vegan Cafe closed over the weekend, but its presence will remain in Watertown. The restaurant announced its closure last week in a Facebook post first reported by Boston Restaurant Talk.

According to the announcement, Sunday, June 18 was Wild Rice's final day serving food. The cafe first opened at 71 Elm Street in December of 2015.

"A BIG thank you to our loyal patrons over the past year and a half," the Wild Rice team wrote in a Facebook post.

The cafe will continue to offer vegan catering in Watertown and will operate out of Red Lentil Vegan and Vegetarian Restaurant at 600 Mount Auburn Street.
