Watertown's First Medical Marijuana Dispensary Opens

WATERTOWN, MA — Watertown's first medical marijuana dispensary is officially open. Located at 3 Elm Street, Natural Selections Medical Marijuana dispensary has made itself at home in Watertown.

As the first and only medical-only marijuana dispensary in town, Natural Selections will be open to patients seven days a week, offering house brands and other brands well known throughout the state like CAC, Chroma, and Slate. The current menu showcases 12 different strains of flower.

“While our Natural Selections brand was formerly based in Colorado, we’re excited to bring it back to its Massachusetts roots and bring that retail and cultivation experience back to the Boston Area with our first dispensary opening under the Natural Selections name,” said Alex Hardy, COO of Natural Selections.

The coronavirus pandemic delayed the dispensary's opening by two-months but now that doors are open, masks and social distancing are required. The building also has 22 parking spaces in the lot for customers.

Natural Selections host agreement with Watertown was signed in November 2019 and states the company will pay an annual Community Impact Fee of 3 percent of the facility’s gross sales.

Customers have to show a Massachusetts patient identification card to enter the dispensary. The dispensary hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
