Saturday has a 60 percent chance of snow, mainly after 1 p.m., with less than 1 inch possible, and Saturday night has a 60 percent chance of snow, mainly before 8 p.m., with 1-2 possible inches, according to the National Weather Service.

Blizzard warnings began Thursday in Martha’s Vineyard and Block Island, with forecast predictions up to 3 inches around Greater Boston and up to 7 inches in Southeastern Massachusetts and the Cape, where wind gusts could reach 60 mph, Patch previously reported.
