Babson College In Wellesley To Have On-Campus Coronavirus Testing
On-campus testing started on Aug. 6 for members of the facilities and public safety staff.
WELLESLEY, MA — College students will be returning to the Boston area for fall classes soon and Babson College has a plan to keep students and the community safe. Babson College is teaming up with PhysicianOne Urgent Care as its testing partner to offer on-campus COVID-19 testing to students and staff.
On-campus testing started on August 6 for members of the facilities and public safety staff.
“When students return to college and university campuses, our communities will experience another expanded re-opening phase. To safely start and continue in-person learning, schools will need to have a comprehensive COVID-19 prevention program including testing in place,” said Dr. Jeannie Kenkare, chief medical officer and co-founder of PhysicianOne Urgent Care. “We have advised a number of local colleges and universities, including Babson College, to help implement testing as part of a comprehensive program for their faculty and students. These testing programs will help identify asymptomatic carriers of COVID-19 to maintain a safe environment for students, faculty and staff, which in turn helps keep members of the community outside of campus safe.”
