Child's Fall From Window Prompts Request for Medical Helicopter

An 18-month-old child fell approximately 12 feet from an open second story window on Lilac Circle around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, according to reports. 

The victim, who fell onto a wood deck, is reportedly conscious and crying with a broken left femur. They did not show any immediate signs of head trauma. 

Responders requested a helicopter pick up at St. James Church, transporting the victim to Boston Children's Hospital. 

Police later said the injuries were not life-threatening.
