Dave Cavell Commits to Traveling Offices in Wellesley Forum
During the Wellesley Candidate Forum, MA-04 candidate Dave Cavell committed to traveling offices and urged fellow candidates to do the same.
Brookline, MA – During the Wellesley and Needham DTCs’ candidate forum on July 15th, Dave Cavell announced his commitment to establishing traveling offices across the Massachusetts’ 4th District. Cavell also called on his fellow candidates to do the same, ensuring greater accessibility for all MA-04 residents to their Congressional representative.
“When it comes to reaching every single person across this diverse district, a couple coffees a year is not going to cut it,” said Dave Cavell. “It’s easy to pay lip service to diversity and accessibility, but we need more than just office hours -- we need a consistent presence.”
The Fourth District currently has two offices, one in Newton and one in Attleboro. Dave is committed to having a consistent office space in at least five locations across the district. The team will rent space from city and town halls and other spaces, and will send Dave and members of his staff to these locations. This way, constituents will have a district office within a 20-minute drive at least once a week.

“When I launched this campaign back in October, I made a promise to meet voters where they are. While the circumstances have changed, my commitment to this district has not,” said Dave Cavell. “That’s why I partnered with rep’d, a groundbreaking digital door-knocking program. That’s why I’m the only candidate whose entire website has been translated (by a human being!) into Spanish and Portuguese since day one. And that’s why I’m committing to traveling offices across the district.
“You can trust me to lead this way because I’m already campaigning this way—in fact, this has been the work of my career.”

Cavell’s model for traveling offices is based on his experience in the Massachusetts’ Attorney General’s Office under Maura Healey, where resources and staff are consistently brought to local spaces across Massachusetts to ensure greater accessibility for all MA residents.
