Elizabeth Seton Residence named "Best Nursing Home 2020-21"

Once again, U.S. News & World Report names the Elizabeth Seton Residence "Best Nursing Home 2020-21"

For the ninth consecutive year, The Elizabeth Seton Residence of Wellesley Hills has been identified by US News & World Report as “High Performing” in both the Long-term Care and Short-term Rehabilitation categories. In the midst of a global pandemic, this recognition is more prized than ever before.

“High Performing” is the highest possible rating for Long-term Care and

Short-term Rehabilitation. U.S. News gives the designation of Best Nursing Home only to those homes that satisfy U.S New’s assessment of the appropriate use of key services and consistent performance in quality measures.

Lori Ferrante, Administrator of the Elizabeth Seton Residence, tells us, “2020 has proven to be the most challenging year we have ever encountered at the Elizabeth Seton Residence. Like many nursing homes, COVID-19 has impacted our residents, staff and families in a way we could never have imagined. To be honored with this recognition in both Long-term Care and Short-term Rehabilitation in the midst of the global pandemic is a meaningful tribute to our outstanding staff, and we are grateful to U.S News and World Report for acknowledging their heroic efforts.”

Now in its 11th year, the U.S. News Best Nursing Homes ratings and profiles offer comprehensive information about care, safety, health inspections, staffing and more for nearly all of the nation’s 15,000-plus nursing homes. The Best Nursing Homes ratings reflect U.S. News’ exclusive analysis of publicly available data using a methodology defined by U.S. News that evaluates factors that it has determined most greatly impact patient and resident care, safety, and outcomes. This year, to accompany the new ratings, nursing home profile pages were updated to include a patient safety summary that reflects COVID-19 data alongside other measurements of safety and related advice on choosing a home or facility amidst the pandemic.
