Flash Flood Watch Issued for Wellesley

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for eastern Plymouth County until 9 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Wellesley and surrounding towns, effective from 5:23 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. They predicted up to to two inches of rain in less than an hour this evening, which could cause flash flooding particularly in urban areas and locations with poor drainage.

A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation, and the NWS recommends monitoring later forecasts and to be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
