Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark, KIDS Presented by WTP

Wellesley Theatre Project presents Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark, KIDS at Wellesley High School, July 6th and 7th.

July 6th and 7th at Wellesley High School

Travel back to prehistoric times with Jack and Annie when Wellesley Theatre Project (WTP) presents, Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs before Dark KIDS Friday, July 6th at 7pm and Saturday, July 7th at 2pm and 5pm. All performances will take place at the Katherine L. Babson Auditorium at Wellesley High School, located at 50 Rice St. Wellesley, MA 02481. Tickets are priced $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors, and may be purchased online at http://wellesleytheatreproject.org in advance, or at the door for $18 for adults and $12 for students and seniors.

Based on the well-known children’s novel by Mary Pope Osborne, Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs before Dark KIDS follows siblings, Jack and Annie, as they discover a treehouse full of books. When Jack finds a book about dinosaurs and wishes he could see a real one, the magical tree house transports him and his sister back to the land of the dinosaurs! Through an exciting and courageous journey back home, Jack and Annie befriend some dinosaurs, face a giant T-Rex, and learn that things are not always what they seem.

Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs before Dark KIDS features a talented cast filled with over 25 students between the ages of seven and eleven that comprise an energetic cast of characters and dinosaurs! Cast members of Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs before Dark KIDS reside in Wellesley as well as neighboring communities including Auburndale, Chestnut Hill, Needham, Newton and Wayland.

The Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs before Dark KIDS production staff includes: Ben Rush, Director & Scenic Designer; Luciana Fionda, Choreographer; Eric Anderson Jr., Music Director; Seif Cristobal; Lighting Designer; Samantha Craig, Costume Designer; and Alexa Lambert, Stage Manager. Based on "Magic Tree House #1: Dinosaurs Before Dark" by Mary Pope Osborne, the book is by Jenny Laird and music and lyrics by Randy Courts with additional lyrics by Will Osborne. WTP is producing Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs before Dark KIDS through special arrangements with Music Theatre International.

Wellesley Theatre Project is an arts academy and a Wellesley nonprofit devoted to providing students (PreK - 12th Grade) with the opportunity to study and experience theatre and performing arts through year round classes, staged productions, workshops and summer camps.

Registration is open for WTP’s 2018 Summer Camps. Sessions include two more production camps geared for students between 2nd and 12th grade in addition to one week Theatre Arts camps for Pre K- 12th grade. The remaining production camps are: Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach (Grades 2-12), and Big Fish, The Musical (Grades 9-12).
