Man Arrested With Deadly Weapon, Unlicensed Home Contractor Charged
The following reports were provided by the Wellesley Police Department. Charges where mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

On June 17 officers from the Wellesley Police Department were notified that at Robert Winders, 28, of 104 Wilson St., Spencer was working on a construction in Wellesley. Winders, who was wanted on four default warrants out of East Brookfield District Court, was also possibly in possession of a dangerous weapon on the work site. Officers responded to the construction site on Cleveland Road and found Winders who was arrested on the warrant charges of larceny over $250, larceny under $250, failure to appear in court, motor vehicle charges and two counts of threatening to commit a crime.
Also on June 17 While searching the construction site on Cleveland Road officers also found a man carrying a spring-loaded switchblade knife. James Mulvey, 54, of 51 Chestnut St., Spencer was arrested and charged with carrying a dangerous weapon.
On June 18 Detective Lieutenant Cunningham observed a green pickup truck which was registered to a man who previously had warrants for his arrest. Cunnigham stopped the vehicle and observed that the passenger was not wearing a seatbelt. While checking the driver and passenger it was determined that the driver had cleared up their warrants but the passenger was wanted on warrant charges out of Dorchester District Court and Roxbury District Court related to motor vehicle violations. Peter Handy, 55, of 10 Brinton St., Apt. 1, Roxbury was arrested.

On June 20 while patrolling Route 9 an officer witnessed a vehicle that was operating erratically. The officer stopped the vehicle and determined that the passenger, Hakim White, 31, of 72 Bragdon St., Apt. 3, Roxbury was wanted out of Dorchester District Court on motor vehicle charges. White was placed under arrest.
On June 20 while patrolling Route 9 and officer observed a blue minivan and after a random check of the license plate it was determined that there were warrants for the owner’s arrest. The vehicle was stopped and Ellaine Muniz, 27, of 33 Monk St., Apt. 2, Stoughton, was arrested on two warrant charges of larceny over $250.

On May 28 a resident of Longfellow Road reported that a contractor had been paid $400 up front for supplies to complete work on their house. An officer was able to get in touch with the contractor, Patrick J. Profit, 48, of 37 Lindsay St. Framingham, and set a date for him to return the money by. When the time had passed and Profit had not returned the money Officer Cunningham posed as a homeowner and made arrangements to get a quote from Profit on a house in Needham. An June 22 Profit arrived at the house and was arrested on warrant charges of larceny over $250 by false pretense and operating as an inlicensed home improvement contractor. Profit was held on $2,000 bail and his custody was transferred to the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Department.
