Max Hano, a student at Wellesley Middle School, gave back after his Bar Mitzvah, according to the Swellesley Report. Hano donated $700 to a non-profit that provides sporting equipment to underprivileged youth across America, the Swellesley Report said.
“My favorite thing is sports, so for my Bar Mitzvah, I wanted to help other kids play sports,” Hano said in the Swellelsey Report article.
Hano worked with the Good Sports organization and created a website that allowed his guests to donate money in lieu of a present.
