More On MetroWest Regional Transit Authority Service Changes In Town Of Wellesley

The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA) is changing services provided in Wellesley. A new micro-transit program called CATCH Connect will replace the existing MWRTA Route 8 bus service in Town.

Residents are invited to learn more about this new program during MWRTA virtual office hours on Monday, February 8 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on Monday, February 15 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Register with the MWRTA in advance to attend.
The MWRTA Route 8 bus for Wellesley will end on February 15. CATCH Connect will operate within Wellesley and select destinations outside of Wellesley including the Waban and Woodland T Stations, Newton Wellesley Hospital, and the Natick Community Center.

Using this service, riders can download the MWRTA CATCH app on a smartphone and begin booking trips. Service is provided Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
CATCH Connect is now in its final testing period to be ready for riders in the coming weeks.

Please note: These service changes do not affect the MWRTA Route 1 bus which is the commuter shuttle along Route 9 through Wellesley.
