New Firefighters Report for Duty In Town Of Wellesley
The group includes a Wellesley native and two military veterans. All seven began their first shifts the week of May 10.

The Wellesley Fire Department recently welcomed seven new firefighters to our community. The first responders are graduates of the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy and attended an intensive 10-week training program at the Academy's Bridgewater campus.

Their training included extensive work in not only firefighting but also in responding to hazards, emergencies, fire education, and stress management.
"We're very proud of the hard work these individuals have done to complete this challenging program and look forward to welcoming them to our team and introducing them to the community," said Fire Chief Rick DeLorie and Assistant Chief Jeff Peterson.
