This Is The Richest Town In Massachusetts

With an average household income of $277,508, no town tops this one, according to Bloomberg.

A Bloomberg report identified the richest towns in America, and one swanky Massachusetts town landed in coveted the top 50.

Wellesley came in at No. 36 for the second straight year, boasting a state-high average household income of $277,508. That's a nearly $14,000 a year bump from last year's earnings, according to Bloomberg.

Wellesley was just behind Bellaire, Texas and just ahead of Malibu, Calif. — yes, that Malibu. Who needs beaches in town?

No other Massachusetts towns made the top 50 list, which was based on household income and was cut off at $262,988.

The richest town in America is Atherton, Calif., where households earn more $525,324 annually. It was the only place with an average household income of more than a half-million since Bloomberg started compiling the list in 2017.

Only four other New England towns made the list, all in Connecticut.
