Rt. 135-Central and Bacon Street CLOSED In Town Of Wellesley This Weekend

Detours will be in place directing motorists to either Route 9 or Washington Street to access points west.

MBTA work continues on the Bacon Street railroad bridge. Central Street (Route 135) will be closed starting at 9 p.m. on Friday, April 30 from Weston Road to the Natick line. The road will re-open at 5 a.m. on Monday, May 3.

Bacon Street will also be closed from the Natick line to Central Street (Route 135).

This is the same closure that took place in late March.

Traffic in the Wellesley Square area near Weston Road will be severely impacted during this closure. Traffic in Natick is also expected to be impacted in the East Central Street, Union Street, Bacon Street, and Oak Street areas near the Wellesley line.

Detours will be in place directing motorists to either Route 9 or Washington Street to access points west. Access to Wellesley College can be made via the Washington Street entrance.
