Dark winter evenings and inclement weather can make it difficult for DPW crews to see residents who may be outside walking, cleaning sidewalks and driveways, or exercising pets.

Wearing bright or reflective clothing when outside will help residents stand out rather than blend into the landscape. This makes individuals easier to identify, especially in blowing snow and driving rain.

During storms, Town crews plow main roads and side streets prior to cleaning the Town sidewalks. Due to the ongoing pandemic, staffing remains reduced.

We understand that at times, residents may need to walk in the streets but please be careful. Remember that while you can see the plows, they may not be able to see you as clearly.

If you have questions or concerns about DPW operations, please email dpw@wellesleyma.gov or call 781-235-7600.
