TONIGHT: Give Input On Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority Service Cuts

The Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) is proposing service cuts to local public transit in response to low ridership levels and a budget deficit.

Eleven public meetings will take place in the next few weeks to explain the proposed changes and get feedback from transit users. The meetings are part of the T's "Forging Ahead" plan.

T officials will hold a Zoom meeting on Tuesday, November 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to discuss service changes to the Framingham/Worcester commuter rail line and the impact this will have on Wellesley.

Residents are encouraged to register for the meeting, ask questions, and give feedback. The new service schedules are expected to begin in the Spring/Summer of 2021.
