Traffic Alert: Tree Falls On Power Line, Closes Road In Wellesley

WELLESLEY, MA — The strong winds are shaking cars, kicking up dust and, in some cases, knocking down trees. Police are warning that a downed tree that is resting on the power lines on Elmwood Road has prompted a road closure, while crews work to repair the situation.

Saturday afternoon Police announced Elmwood Road is closed between Cavanaugh and Martin roads. Wellesley Electric Light Department and Park and Tree departments are working on the repair and cleanup.
