Traffic Stops Lead to Warrant, Unlicensed Operation Arrests

The following reports were provided by the Wellesley Police Department. Charges where mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

On Wednesday, July 17, an officer stopped a vehicle on Central Street while conducting traffic enforcement. While conducting a computer check of the vehicle’s license plate the officer learned the vehicle was not registered. The driver, Rodrigo Lopes Barbosa, 36, of 9 Welg. Apt. 13, Framingham was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation and operating an unregistered vehicle.

On Friday, July 19, an officer stopped a vehicle for making an illegal u-turn on Washington Street. Mark C. Gagnon, 33, of 713 Watertown St., Apt. 1, Newton, was arrested on warrants out of Boston District Court for failure to appear for suspended license, Chelsea District Court for failure to appear for third offense shoplifting, Waltham District Court for violation of probation, Dedham District Court for receiving stolen over $250 and larceny over $250 and Brookline District Court for larceny from a building.
