Wellesley Coronavirus Cases Declined Last Week
Wellesley was in the "yellow" zone in last week's report from the state.
WELLESLEY, MA — Coronavirus cases in Wellesley fell last week, according to state data, after the town saw an uptick in cases the week before.
Wellesley reported 71 cases of coronavirus in the two weeks leading up to April 17, compared to 99 cases the week before that. The average daily incidence rate was lower than the previous week's, decreasing to 17.1 from 23.8. The percent positivity decreased from 1.11 percent to 0.60 percent.
Wellesley's case count still places it in the state's "yellow" zone. The state reported 48 communities were high-risk last week, down from 59 the week before.

Massachusetts reported 24,036 cases in the weeks leading up to April 17, with a daily incidence rate of 24.7 and a percent positivity of 2.3 percent.
