Wellesley Nearby July 4th Fireworks: 2018 Guide

There are no Independence Day fireworks in Wellesley, but here are some nearby options.

WELLESLEY, MA — It's almost Fourth of July and that means fireworks. But where can you go watch and when are they, anyway? Wellesley hosted some grand fireworks during the annual Wellesley Wonderful Weekend but doesn't have an Independence Day firework show. But don't worry, there are options.

Needham:

Every year the Needham Exchange Club provides Needham's Fourth of July fireworks on July 3 and this year is no different. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. July 3, with food and entertainment followed by the fireworks display at dark. The celebration continues on Tuesday, July 4 beginning at 8:30 a.m. with the Charles River YMCA Road Race. At 9 a.m., there is a flag raising in the Town Common followed by the Grand Parade with a craft fair and flea market, athletic events, food and entertainment after the parade at Memorial Park.

Brookline doesn't set off fireworks, but if you want to see the Boston fireworks, check out Cory Hill Park or the top of Larz Anderson. But get there early to find a good spot. In recent years the trees have obstructed some of the view from Cory Hill Park, but you can still glimpse a bit of them.

Boston's fireworks start at 10 p.m. on the Esplanade.

Newton:

Fireworks are on the Fourth at 9 p.m. at the Albemarle Field/Halloran Sports Complex.
