Wellesley PD Investigates After 20 Cars Broken Into
The break-ins happened to cars parked along Pilgrim Road.
WELLESLEY, MA — The Wellesley Police Department is investigating a series of early morning car break-ins along Pilgrim Road on Sunday. Police said about 20 cars were broken into and in some cases, valuables and money was stolen.
Police said all the cars targeted were unlocked. The break-ins happened in the Westgate and Pilgrim Road neighborhoods, as well as on Pleasant Street.
Two cars were stolen as well, according to police. One stolen car was found by Wellesley officers nearby. The second car was found a day later by the West Hartford Police Department in Connecticut. Both of the stolen cars were unlocked and had the keys in them at the time of the theft, according to police.

Police said several neighbors have been helpful in giving police home security footage — police are asking other people in the area with home security video to review Sunday morning from 3:30 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. for anything suspicious. Police said the request is centered around the Pilgrim Road, Westgate Road neighborhoods, especially on the side streets closer to Weston Road.
