Wellesley Police Arrest Break-In Suspect Outside Of Apartment

Witnesses told police that the man removed a window screen and slipped into the apartment through the window.

WELLESLEY, MA — Car break-ins aren't the only thing Wellesley police are warning about now — an apartment was reported broken into on Aug. 23 but this time, the police caught the suspect before he could get away.

Wellesley police said an apartment break-in was reported on Aug. 23 and an officer was able to get there while the suspect was still outside the apartment. When the officer got to the apartment, the man denied trying to break-in.

A resident of the apartment and witnesses said the man tried to remove an air conditioner to get into the apartment. When that didn't work, the man turned his attention to the screen covering the apartment window, removed and got inside.
