Wellesley Police Find Heroin On Man During Traffic Stop

Police said the man had an active warrant from Framingham District Court for drug charges.

WELLESLEY, MA — A traffic stop in Wellesley led to the arrest of one man on Friday after police found an outstanding warrant for him and two drugs on him, according to the police report.

On Friday afternoon, a Wellesley officer stopped a car on Worcester Street after a license plate query showed the plates didn't match the car. When the officer asked the driver for his license, the man said he didn't have it on him, according to police.

After getting the driver's information, the officer found that there was an active warrant issued by Framingham District Court for drug related charges and that his license was suspended, according to police.

The man was taken into custody and police found heroin and Suboxone on him, according to the police report.
