UPDATE: Wellesley Public Schools Closing Early Thursday

The Wellesley Public Schools will be opening on a regular schedule Thursday despite the snow forecast.

The schools will close early, on the following schedule: 

• Wellesley Middle School at 11:20 am
• Wellesley High School at 11:30 am
• Elementary METCO students at 11:30 am 
• All other Elementary at students at 12:15 pm
• PAWS Preschool at 11:40 am.  There will be no afternoon PreK session at PAWS.  Full day PreK students should be picked up at 11:40 am
• There is no WCCC today.  Students who participate in WCCC will remain in their home schools to be picked up.

According to the National Weather Service, it is expected to snow all day with accumulation of about 5 to 9 inches of fresh snow.

Snow, freezing rain and sleet is expected after 5 p.m. Thursday.

Wind gusts as high as 32 miles per hour are also expected, said the NWS.
