Wellesley Resident Laces Up Skates for Cancer Research
Donald Annino's Dana-Farber Rink Rats will take on Boston Bruins alumni to benefit the Jimmy Fund.

WELLESLEY, MA – For one Wellesley doctor and his teammates, taking to the ice Feb. 4 against Boston Bruins alumni is more than just a game.
Donald Annino is among the doctors, researchers and staff that make up the Dana-Farber Rink Rats, which will face off against former Bruins players to benefit the Jimmy Fund. Annino has committed to raise $1,000 ahead of the game.
All proceeds from tickets sold will be donated to the Jimmy Fund, which supports cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The game runs from 3 to 5 p.m. at LoConte Rink in Medford; tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children and are available online or at the door.

There will also be a special skills and drills clinic at 2 p.m., taught by Boston Bruins alumni and open to friends and family of Rink Rats players. Participants must raise a minimum of $500 for the Jimmy Fund in order to be eligible for the clinic, which will accept the first 10 people who want to play.
