Wellesley Students Earn College Honors, Travel Abroad

This weekly column features the achievements of Wellesley residents.

The following local high school students were awarded the 2013 Saint Michael's College Book Award for Academic Achievement with a Social Conscience:

The following local residents are part of a group of Union College students who will study abroad this fall:

  • Meaghan Jain, of Wellesley, MA will travel to Fiji, to conduct hands-on anthropological research and to study the diverse people of the Pacific. Jain is a junior Leadership in Medicine major.
  • Carson Keator, of Wellesley Hills, MA will travel to Athens, Greece, studying a broad range of areas, including classics, philosophy and religion. Keator is a junior Psychology major.

Villanova University named the following students to the Dean's List for the spring 2013 semester.

  • Catherine Cecere, from Wellesley, Mass., is pursuing a bachelor's degree in the Villanova School of Business,
  • Adrienne Cuddy, from Wellesley, Mass., is studying nursing in the College of Nursing,
  • Charlotte Kelley, from Wellesley, Mass., is pursuing a bachelor's degree in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences,
  • Christopher Hori, from Wellesley, Mass., is studying Economics in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences,
  • Nicholas Suttle, from Wellesley, Mass., is studying Political Science in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences,
