Wellesley Tavern Opening Is Around The Corner

The new restaurant is replacing Door No. 7 on Linden Street and is operating under the same owners.

WELLESLEY, MA — New restaurant alert: Linden Street has a new restaurant opening this week with familiar owners.

Wellesley Tavern is set to open at its 165 Linden Street location on March 10. The new restaurant is replacing Door No. 7 which was there for two years before the COVID-19 pandemic shut it down. Wellesley Tavern's owners, Laura and John Wolfe, also owned Door No. 7. The Wolfe's also own popular Wellesley restaurant The Cottage and two Newburyport restaurants: The Poynt and Brick and Ash.

Wellesley Tavern is billed as a more accessible and family-friendly concept. Featuring chef Andrew Swanson, the tavern's menu will bring "a modern take on a Wellesley tradition." From chicken pot pies and short braised ribs to sushi and burgers, the tavern has a wide-ranging menu.
