Wellesley Welcomes New Animal Control Officer Jenny Smith
Smith grew up on a small farm in Holliston and took care of both domestic animals and large farm animals.

WELLESLEY, MA —The Wellesley Police Department welcomed its new Animal Control Officer Jenny Smith.
Smith is from nearby Holliston and joined the department on Feb. 1. She will be taking over for former ACO Sue Webb. Smith spent her first week on the job training with Webb.
According to the town, Smith grew up on a small farm in Holliston and took care of both domestic animals and large farm animals. Smith managed a dog daycare where she held training classes ranging from puppy kindergarten, basic obedience, canine good citizen classes, and Therapy Dog International test preparation. She also owned a pet-sitting business for several years.

As a volunteer with Therapy Dogs International, Smith took dogs on therapeutic visits to hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice patients.
