Wellesley's 2016 Winter Survival Guide: Everything You Need to Know
While we are expecting freezing weather this weekend, here's some important information to keep on hand throughout the winter.

WELLESLEY, MA — As we enter the winter months, the weather becomes a bigger factor in our lives. Between snow, sleet, wintry mixes and freezing temperatures, it's more important than ever to make sure your family is safe in the event of an emergency. Here is some important information you should know about winter in Wellesley.
Parking
From the Wellesley Police Department
Motor vehicles may not be parked on any public way in the town of Wellesley from 2 a.m. until 5 a.m. Those that are parked on the street will receive a parking ticket. This parking ban also includes the Town of Wellesley parking lots, and is clearly posted on signs entering the lots.

Linden Street at Hollis Street
Church Street at Waban Street

Snow Removal
According to the Town of Wellesley website:
When plowing or snow blowing your driveway, do not move the snow into or across the road or

into the sidewalk or across the street from the mouth of your driveway It is against Town bylaws to
do so—it creates hazardous conditions for drivers and walkers and increases the cost of snow
plowing. Remember, if you hire a private contractor for snow removal; make sure he or she is
aware of the Town bylaws. This violation of Town bylaws could bring the property owner a fine up
to $50 per offense. Similarly, remind your contractor not to plow snow onto fire hydrants in your
neighborhood.
