Wellesley High School Class Of 2020 Sendoff Parade Stops Traffic
Time and traffic stood still this morning and were closed around town as Wellesley High School's Class of 2020 held a parade to celebrate.
WELLESLEY, MA —Time and traffic stood still this morning and were closed around town as Wellesley High School's Class of 2020 held a parade to celebrate graduation day amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Like every other school in the state, Wellesley High School has been closed since the coronavirus pandemic began in March. In an effort to help seniors mark the end of four years in high school, officials came up with the amended graduation parade.
As people lined the streets to cheer on the 380 students and their families as they drove the mile and a half from Babson College’s Trim parking lot to the Wellesley High School parking lot, honking horns and waving signs and balloons trailing.

Once the cars made it to the high school, school officials wearing face coverings handed off their diplomas.
