45 MPH Winds in Westford Could Knock Out Power

WESTFORD, MA — Strong winds could knock out power in Westford Tuesday night.

National Weather Service issued a wind advisory through 7 p.m. Wind gusts will hit 45 mph, possibly knocking tree limbs into power lines. If power does go out, Eversource has a live outage map.

Wind chill values will also plummet to near zero Tuesday night. Here’s more from NWS:

• LOCATION...ALL OF MASSACHUSETTS AND RHODE ISLAND AS WELL AS NORTHERN CONNECTICUT.
• WINDS...NORTHWEST 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH.
• TIMING...THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING.
• IMPACTS...WINDS OF THIS MAGNITUDE MAY DOWN SOME SMALL TREE LIMBS...POSSIBLY RESULTING IN ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES.
